The sales volume of the Doodles NFT collection has increased by over $200,000, one day ahead of the scheduled DOOD token launch on May 9. Doodles’ sales volume spiked from $890,000 to $1.1 million between May 7 and 8, which was also a notable rise from the $104,000 recorded on the first day of the month. Altcoins 595 Transactions in 9 Days
According to data from CryptoSlam, there have been 595 transactions involving the Doodles NFTs less than 10 days into the month. Additionally, there are 431 and 357 unique sellers and buyers, respectively. The number of sellers and buyers is notably higher than what was recorded in the entire month of April, with the total number of transactions being only six lower than April’s 601 transactions.
Its weekly sales volume has also more than tripled from the previous week. The current volume is, however, small compared to its all-time high single-day volume of $23.5 million registered on October 18, 2021.
Doodles revealed that the DOOD token airdrop will start on May 9. The project will give “users who registered their Doodles collectibles” the first priority, before opening it to its “New Blood partner communities.”
our airdrop will immediately begin with users who registered their Doodles Collectibles (estimated duration: 3-5 minutes)
afterwards we will airdrop to all of our New Blood partner communities (estimated duration: 15 minutes)

Those who didn’t register their collectibles will have to use the manual claim process. The collection clarified that partner communities and registered users “will receive an airdrop and will not need to claim.”
Altcoins DOOD Powered by Solana, Not Ethereum
Doodles announced plans to launch DOOD in February and noted that the token will be powered by the Solana blockchain, even though the collection is powered by the Ethereum blockchain.
Doodles’ decision to launch a token follows similar moves by other NFT collections and projects like Azuki, Pudgy Penguins, OpenSea, and Tensor that have either launched or are in the process of launching a token.
